In another's eyes/ I'm someone who/ Loves her enough/ To walk away from you/ I'd never cheat/ And I would never lie/ In another's eyes

"Hmm?" Mark looked up at his wife. "I'm sorry, what was that?"

Sara sighed. "Mark, you've been out of it for a week now. What's wrong honey?"

"Nothin love," Mark smiled, reaching over to take her hand. "I guess I'm just getting old."

She leaned towards him, planting a kiss on his cheek. "I love you Mark."

"Yeah. I love you too"

In another's eyes/ I can do no wrong/ He believes in me/ And his faith is strong/ I'd never fall/ Or even compromise/ In another's eyes

Lis listened half-heartedly as her boyfriend told her about a new vehicle he had just purchased.

Glenn looked down, noticing she wasnt interested. "Lis?"

Lis jumped.

"You all right?"

"Yeah Glenn, I'm peachy." Lis managed a bright smile.

He returned it, lacing his fingers with hers.

Lis walked beside him, guilt gnawing at her insides.

In another's eyes/ I'm afraid that I can't see/ This picture perfect portrait/ That they paint of me/ They don't realize/ And I pray they never do/ Cause every time I look/ I'm seein you/ In another's eyes

Lis turned in Mark's embrace, her back to his chest and looked out over the water. "I wish we could stay like this." She murmured.

Mark kissed the top of her head. "I know darlin, I know."

She peered at his wedding ring, bitter tears rising in her eyes. "Why couldn't I have met you first?" she cried, voice breaking. "It's not fair!"

Mark's hold tightened as he sought to soothe her. "Lisabeth, quiet now." He got infront of her and kneeled down. "We'll get through this."

Lis dropped down with him, grabbing hold of his hands. "God forgive me but I love you." She kissed each of his palms. "If only I didn't, then maybe my heart wouldnt break every time I saw you."

Mark kissed her passionately, only pulling away when he almost reached the point where he wouldnt be able to stop.

"Oh Mark!" Lis sobbed, burying her face in his chest.

"You're taken and I can't hurt Sara like this," he said, choking on emotions. "We have to stop this now before we do something we'll regret."

"I know," Lis whispered. "But it hurts."

In another's eyes/ Starin back at me/ I see a sinkin soul./ Tryin desperately/ To turn the tide/ Before it dies/ In another's eyes

Mark nodded as Glenn gestured towards a ring. "Lis will love it." He said, forcing himself to sound thrilled for his friend.

Glenn looked around to make sure neither Sara or Lis was in hearing distance. "I plan on asking her to marry me tomorrow night."

Glenn didnt see the pained look that flickered across Mark's face.

And what they don't see/ Is killing me/ It's a blessing and a curse/ That love is blind/ cause in another's eyes/ I'm afraid that I can't see/ This picture perfect portrait/ That they paint of me

"Now if I tell you this Lis, you got to promise that you won't tell Mark. Or Glenn." Sara whispered eagerly.

Lis smiled warmly even if she didn't truly mean. "Of course I won't."

"Promise?"

Lis crossed her heart.

Sara leaned forward, her eyes shining with joy. "I'm pregnant! Isn't that wonderful?"

"Oh Sara," Lis hugged her. "It's the best news ever!"

Sara couldnt see the heart broken expression Lis wore.

And they dont realize/ And I pray to God they never do/ Cause every time I look/ I'm seein you

Glenn and Lis burst into the hospital room, fresh from their honeymoon.

Sara and Mark looked up, a tiny infant in Sara's arms.

Glenn hurried to the bed to fawn over the baby while Lis stayed put staring into Mark's eyes.

He stared back, finally nodding. A brief look of pain flashed through his eyes before he turned his attention to Sara.

Lis joined Glenn, taking his hand.

The message was clear.
