Songs
Sometimes a good song can give inspiration for
a story, or be the basis for a good fic. Writing a song fic can be a great
way to help break writer's block. Set a goal of about four-five pages and
pick a song you really like. Not to mention this is a great way for Ly to
store all her favorite songs that one day she might feel like using.
100 Word Stories
100 word stories are exactly what the
title implies. A very short story consisting of no more, no less than a 100
words. Pick a quick topic and go. Some more extreme authors have taken this
widely unknown form of writing down to stories of 50 words.
Keep A Dream Journal
Sometimes a dream can be a great
opening for a story, or if you can remember enough of it, it could be a
great plot.

Browse profiles of reviewers, a lot of
them mention how they like to read fan fiction but can't write it. Some even
present ideas for any author who wants to give them a go or ask that authors
who take requests IM them. Sometimes having a plot, characters and all the
rest already decided for you can take the pressure off of coming up with
something and you can just write.
